HoR meeting postponed due to absence of Finance Minister

KATHMANDU: The ongoing session of the House of Representatives (HoR) has been delayed by 15 minutes due to the absence of Finance Minister Barsaman Pun.

Expressing concerns over the Finance Minister’s absence during a parliamentary session dedicated to budget deliberations, Rajendra Lingden, Chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, demanded the Minister’s presence.

Chairman Lingden also brought this matter to the attention of Speaker Dev Raj Ghimire, emphasizing the Finance Minister’s obligatory participation in budget discussions within parliamentary meetings.

In response to Lingden’s request, Speaker Ghimire adjourned the meeting for 15 minutes, clarifying that the Finance Minister is currently attending a session of the National Assembly and will join the HoR meeting promptly.
