Nepal to witness varied weather conditions today

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported a partial effect of local and westerly winds across Nepal, along with the influence of a low-pressure area stretching from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh in India.

Since this morning, various parts of the country have been experiencing rain.

Provinces including Bagmati, Madhes, Koshi, Lumbini, and Karnali are witnessing light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

This afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy over hilly areas in Bagmati, Madhes, Koshi, and Gandaki provinces. Other provinces will experience partial cloud cover.

The Division has predicted light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Bagmati, Madhes, Koshi, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with occasional storms in Gandaki and Lumbini.

Additionally, there was a chance of light snowfall in one or two places in the high hills and Himalayan areas.

For tonight, the forecast indicates that the hilly areas, including Koshi, and Gandaki provinces, will remain partly to mostly cloudy.

Elsewhere, the weather will be partly cloudy to mainly clear.
