Nepali Congress nominates Khadka for Ilam-2, Singh for Bhajang-1 by-elections

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC), the leading opposition party, has selected Dambar Khadka as its candidate for the Ilam-2 constituency and Abhishek Singh for Bhajang-1.

The by-elections in these constituencies are slated for April 27.

Khadka, who contested in the 2079 elections, faced defeat against CPN-UML’s Subash Chandra Nembang.

Singh is the son of the late minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Prithvi Bahadur Singh.

Following three days of continuous celebrations, the party finalized its candidates for the upcoming by-election during a morning meeting at President Sher Bahadur Deuba’s residence.
