Meeting of new coalition underway in Baluwatar



KATHMANDU: The meeting of the newly formed coalition is underway at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar.

The meeting is attended by top leaders of parties involved in the coalition, including CPN-UML, CPN Maoist Center, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal, among others.

The meeting, headed by top leaders from the coalition partners, is discussing the number of ministers, responsibilities, and the modalities of the coalition.

Prior to this, the coalition had formed a 4-member task force.

The task force includes Bishnu Poudel from UML, Barshaman Pun from Maoist Center, Rabi Lamichhane from Rastriya Samajwadi Party, and Upendra Yadav from Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal.

Today, a small-sized cabinet is expected to be formed, and the swearing-in of the new ministers is also scheduled for 5 pm today.

The preparations for the oath-taking ceremony of the new ministers have been made in Sheetal Niwas, the President’s Office.
