KATHMANDU: Three ministers, representing different political parties, are set to be sworn in today.

The distribution will be equally shared among the parties in the new alliance.

In the initial phase, Padam Giri from CPN-UML and Hit Bahadur Tamang from CPN-Maoist Center are slated to assume ministerial responsibilities, as revealed by Gobinda Acharya, the press adviser to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

Giri, Tamang, and DP Aryal from Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) will take their oath today, Acharya stated, emphasizing that the specific ministries for the appointees are yet to be finalized.

The parties decided to send the above names as the Nepali Congress ministers are yet to resign.

“Their ministries have not been decided yet, as leaders, including Bishnu Paudel of UML, Barshaman Pun of Maoist Center, and Rabi Lamichhane of RSP, are in the process of reaching a consensus,” he said.

Acharya disclosed that the allocation of ministries among the parties would be determined through internal discussions within the new coalition.

A meeting has been scheduled at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar at 2:30 today to facilitate this decision-making process.

Additionally, a written agreement has been prepared and will be discussed during the meeting to ensure clarity and consensus among the alliance members.
