CPN-UML decides to prepare for a ‘new political course’

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML has stated that the current ruling Nepali Congress-Maoist Center alliance is on the verge of collapse.

A meeting of the CPN-UML held at party Chairman KP Oli’s residence in Balkot on Monday morning decided to be prepared for a new political course.

The meeting also highlighted a growing strain within the ruling coalition, with the burden becoming increasingly apparent.

Despite the ongoing situation, UML leader Pradeep Gyawali said that the situation is still not mature.

Following Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s acknowledgment of the challenges in cooperating with the Nepali Congress, the CPN-UML engaged in discussions to address the unfolding crisis.

UML leaders emphasized the need for unity within the parliamentary parties signaled the UML’s readiness to embrace a new approach once the Prime Minister decides to dissolve the existing collaboration.
