Janamat Party’s Secretariat meeting underway in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The Janamat Party Nepal’s Secretariat meeting is underway at the party headquarters in Kathmandu.

According to the party’s Center Office Secretary BP Sah, the Secretariat meeting which commenced at 10.30 am this morning is underway at the party’s Mid-Baneshwor based office.

“We don’t have any specific agenda; the meeting is focused on discussing contemporary issues,” he stated.

In recent times, Janamat has faced internal disputes within the coalition government. The party is dissatisfied with the ruling coalition parties after not getting any seats in the recently held national assembly election. Janamat has already withdrawn its support to the coalition government in Madhes province and is reportedly mulling over the same at the federal government.

Due to clashes with the Janata Samajwadi Party in Province 2, Dr. CK Raut’s Janamat party quitted Mades government.

Although the agenda for today’s meeting does not explicitly mention these matters, Secretary Sah did not rule out discussing them.

The Janamat Party Secretariat comprises 17 members.
