Madhesh Province CM pledges to rein in corruption



DHANUSHA: Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, has pledged to prevent corruption in the Province.

Speaking at a province-level interaction on corruption prevention and promotion of good governance organized by the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority in Janakpurdham today, the Chief Minister pledged to initiate a campaign to keep the province free from corruption.

He also announced full support and cooperation from the government in any investigation against alleged irregularities and abuse of authorities in the province.

He also took time to say that tiny projects and consumer committees-based projects would be discontinued in the upcoming fiscal year.

CIAA Chief Prem Kumar Rai the good governance is achievable through collective efforts and the three-tier government should gear up for its promotion.

Talking about alleged illegalities in consumer committees-based projects and stressed that the issue be addressed.

Madhesh Province chief secretary, Dinesh Kumar Ghimire, CIAA Bardibas chief Ram Bahadur Kurumbang and CIAA joint-secretary Laxmi Prasad Upadhyay gave their presentations on the prevention of corruption and the promotion of good governance.
