SINDHUPALCHOWK: The restoration efforts for the Melamchi drinking water project have entered their final phase following the devastating flood in the Melamchi river in June 2021, which caused extensive damage to the project’s estuary area.

Senior engineer of the project, Padam Bahadur Kunwar, reported that 70 percent of the repair work in the estuary area has been successfully completed.

On Wednesday, a stakeholder delegation conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing repair work at the source of the Melamchi water supply project in Helambu municipality-1.
