KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has said that Nepal is currently experiencing a partial effect of westerly winds.

According to the Division’s analysis, the weather remains generally clear in the Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

However, some parts of the Terai region are witnessing fog and mist.

As the day progresses, the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces are likely to witness clear conditions, while the rest of the region may experience partly cloudy skies.

There is a potential for light snowfall in isolated areas of the high hills and Himalayan regions within Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

Heading into the night, the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces are forecasted to have clear skies.

Additionally, there is a slight chance of light snowfall in selected locations within the high hills and Himalayan areas of these provinces.

The Division has advised people to take necessary precautions against the cold, which may be intensified by light snowfall and the presence of fog in the plains.
