Local level election results: NC leads followed by Maoist Center and UML

KATHMANDU: The counting of votes for the local level by-elections held on Sunday is underway.

The Election Commission has made public the results for the 41 seats where by-elections were held.

According to these results, the Nepali Congress takes the first position, winning 17 wards, including Kirtipur Municipality Mayor.

The Maoist Center is in second place, securing 10 positions, which include seven ward chairs, one rural municipality chair, two rural municipality vice-chairs, and one municipal vice-chair.

The ruling CPN-UML stands in third, with 8 wins, including one rural municipality chair, two rural municipality vice-chairs, and five ward chairs.

Similarly, the Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal won two ward chair positions in Madhesh Province.

The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Unified Socialist Party, Nepal Majdoor and Kisan Party, and independent candidate won one seat each.
