NEPSE Index shows modest 0.24 percent increase

KATHMANDU: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) Index on Tuesday saw a slight rise of 6.90 points, or 0.24%, closing at 2,830.16 points.

This follows a previous session where the index gained 127.32 points, ending at 2,823.25 points.

The trading day started with the index at 2,834.42 points, displaying notable fluctuations throughout.

It peaked at 2,860.43 points and dipped to 2,802.92 points before finishing at its final level.

There was active trading with 328 stocks involved in 144,197 transactions.

A total of 30,599,890 shares were exchanged, resulting in a turnover of Rs. 13.57 billion.

The market capitalization increased to Rs. 4.49 trillion, and the float market capitalization reached Rs. 1.58 trillion.
