Monsoon conditions still impacting Nepal’s weather

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that monsoon conditions are still affecting Nepal’s weather.

The monsoon low-pressure line is positioned around its usual location, extending westward and southward.

The Division indicates that weather conditions across the country range from partial to general cloud cover.

Light to moderate rain is occurring in the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and sporadically in the Sudurpaschim Province.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide. There is a likelihood of light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, as well as in a few locations in other provinces.

Heavy rainfall is possible in some areas of Koshi and Karnali, with a chance of similar conditions in isolated areas of Bagmati and Lumbini.

Tonight, skies will remain partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

The Division forecasts a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Koshi, Madhesh, Lumbini, and Bagmati provinces, with a few areas in other provinces also experiencing similar conditions.
