Python rescued from sugarcane field in Kanchanpur



KANCHANPUR: A python has been rescued from a sugarcane field of Belauri municipality-7 in Nepal’s Kanchanpur district.

Chairman of a community forest, Pabiram Tharu, informed that the python rescued from sugarcane field last evening was released to a nearby Singha Pal Community Forest.

Ward member of Belauri-3, Kaman Singh Chaudhari, said the reptile animal weighed 35 kg and was 13 feet long.

Chairman Tharu said the python might have come near human settlement for prey.

The number of wild animals and reptiles has increased after the conservation of forest and wetland, he added.
