150 people die in monsoon disasters across Nepal



KATHMANDU: Weather-related disasters, including floods and landslides, have claimed the lives of 150 people across Nepal this monsoon season.

According to the Central Police News Room, fatalities include three people in Kathmandu Valley, 25 in Koshi Province, six in Madhesh, 29 in Bagmati, 42 in Gandaki, 27 in Lumbini, eight in Karnali, and 10 in the Far West.

The police report also indicates that 49 people are missing, 177 people have been injured, and 180 people have been rescued due to these disasters.

Additionally, 384 houses have been inundated by floods, and 4,219 families have been displaced since the start of the rainy season in Jestha 2081 BS.
