SANKHUWASABHA: Since the onset of monsoon rains, 43 families in Kimathanka-Sankhuwasabha have been displaced by landslides, with 20 sheds destroyed by flooding.

Two individuals lost their lives, and six others sustained injuries in the disaster.

Additionally, six motorway bridges were damaged during this period.

Chief District Officer (CDO) Dhurba Bahadur Khadka reported extensive damage to roads, rural areas, and electricity projects due to landslides under the Koshi Highway.

In Makalu Rural Municipality-2 Sagsewa and Mulgaon, 24 families were displaced by the floods.

The floods have also wreaked havoc on water sources and electricity poles in Khandbari municipality, transforming fertile lands into barren expanses.
