Tanahu district achieves full vaccination status



TANAHU: Tanahu district has achieved the milestone of being declared a fully vaccinated district, following the earlier declaration of all 10 municipalities within the district as fully vaccinated municipalities.

The Health Office announced that all children aged 16 months to 59 months in the district have now been fully vaccinated.

This achievement underscores the completion of vaccinations for all children within 15 months as per the National Immunization Program schedule.

Bidya Tamang, Head of the Health Office, highlighted that efforts were made to ensure that any children who had missed vaccinations were identified and subsequently vaccinated.

Santiraman Wagle, head of the district coordination committee and coordinator of the district-level vaccination coordination committee, emphasized the importance of maintaining high immunization coverage.

According to Shankar Babu Adhikari, Vaccination Officer at the Health Office, the declaration of fully vaccinated status for the district’s municipalities followed comprehensive efforts to vaccinate children across all 85 wards.

Pramod Soti, Head of the Health Branch of Beyas Municipality, stated that 2,818 children aged 16 months to 5 years received full vaccination, while 1,111 children under 15 months were also vaccinated.
