Rain with lightning expected today



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has said that the weather will see notable changes due to the partial influence of local and westerly winds, as well as a low-pressure area extending from Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh.

According to the Division, light rain with thunder and lightning is expected in a couple of places in Koshi and Gandaki provinces.

This afternoon, the weather will remain partly cloudy to mostly clear in hilly areas of the country, including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places within Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and at a couple of places in the rest of the regions.

A storm is possible in one or two places in the Lumbini Province.

Additionally, light snowfall may occur at one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan regions of the country.

Tonight, it will be partly to mostly cloudy over hilly areas including Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki regions.

The weather will be partly cloudy to mostly clear in the rest of the country, with the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Kosi, Madhes, and Gandaki provinces, and at one or two places in the rest of the region.
