National Kho Kho tournament to be held from April 6



KATHMANDU: The first U-21 national men’s and women’s kho kho tournament is to be held in Dhangadi starting this April 6.

The kho kho competition will be held from April 6 to 9 at the playground of Tribhuvan Secondary School in Boradandi, Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-3 of Kailali, according to the President of Nepal Khokho Association Pradip Maharjan.

The event is jointly hosted by Nepal Kho Kho Association and Sudurpaschim Province Kho Kho Association.

A total of 144 kho kho players representing men’s and women’s teams from Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim Provinces are competing in the tournament.

The tournament is being played on a league cum knockouts basis, with first, second and third teams for women’s and men’s category winning a cash prize of Rs 50,000, Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000 respectively.
