Nepal to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions today



KATHMANDU: A blend of western and local winds is currently influencing Nepal’s weather patterns because of which noticeable shifts are occurring, particularly in the hilly regions, extending into the Sudurpaschim Province.

Throughout the day, the hilly areas, including the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, are anticipated to experience partly to generally cloudy conditions.

The Weather Forecast Division has indicated that the rest of the country will observe partly cloudy to mainly clear skies.

By afternoon, there’s a likelihood of scattered light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in select areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Similarly, isolated spots in the high hilly and Himalayan areas might witness light snowfall.

As night falls, the weather is expected to be partly to generally cloudy in the Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces.

Nighttime brings the potential for sporadic light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the Sudurpaschim, Karnali, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has also highlighted the possibility of light snowfall in select high hilly and Himalayan areas of Gandaki and Karnali provinces on Wednesday.
