One killed, seven injured in pickup van mishap in Dhankuta



HILE, DHANKUTA: A child died and seven others got injured when a pickup van met with an accident in Chungmang, Dhankuta on Sunday.

According to Dhankuta Police sources, the identity of the deceased has not been disclosed.

The incident occurred when a pickup truck with registration number Ko 2 Cha 1619 met with an accident near Bharati Secondary School while coming from Hile.

Seventeen individuals were reported to be on board the vehicle.

The injured are receiving treatment at Dhankuta District Hospital.

The police informed that the accident happened as the van’s tire burst, causing it to skid approximately 50 meters downhill from the police checkpoint in Hile.
