One nabbed on allegation of frauds relating to foreign employment promise



KATHMANDU: Police apprehended a man on charges of fraudulently promising to send unemployed people to Qatar.

The accused Kailash Giri, 22 years old and originally from Sindhupalchowk currently residing in Gothatar of Kagheswori Manohara Municipality was nabbed for enticing people and collecting money fraudulently.

According to reports, Giri enticed Bhaskar Dutta Bhatta, promising to send him to Qatar for foreign employment at a cost of NPR 300,000. He frauded NPR 294,000 and assured Bhatta that the latter would get NPR 80,000 as monthly salary upon reaching in Qatar.

Giri defrauded NPR 294,000 from Bhatta assuring him that he was to be employed as a driver with a monthly salary of NPR 80,000.

The police sent Giri to Department of Foreign Employment for further investigation.
