Koshi Province falls short as APF clinches PM Cup Women’s Cricket Trophy

KATHMANDU: The Armed Police Force Club emerged victorious, clinching the prestigious PM Cup Women’s National Cricket Trophy by defeating Koshi Province in a nail-biting final match played today.

In a remarkable display of skill and strategy, APF secured the win with an 11-run lead.

Having batted first, APF set a target of 115 runs for Koshi Province, showcasing a commendable performance by scoring 114 runs within the allocated overs, losing seven wickets in the process. Indu Barma played a pivotal role, notching up a half-century with one six and six fours in her 47-ball innings.

In response, Koshi Province managed to score 103 runs, losing four wickets within the stipulated overs. Opener Rubina Chhetri contributed significantly with a half-century, scoring 62 runs.

Earlier for Koshi Province, Afsari Begum took three wickets and  Aliya Khatiwada, Rubina Chhetri, and Nisha Shah with two and one wicket(s) respectively.
