Chief Minister Men’s Volleyball Tournament from Jan 28



KANCHANPUR: The 3rd Chief Minister Cup Men’s National Volleyball Tournament will be held in Mahendranagar, Kanchanpur from January 28.

A total of 10 teams including one each from seven provinces as well as the departmental teams of Nepal Army, Nepal Police and Armed Police Force are participate in the competition to be organized by Sudurpaschim Province Sports Council.

A total of 172 players will participate in the competition, according to the organizers.

The Chief Minister’s Cup is being held with the aim of developing and expanding the sport of volleyball.

The winning team of the competition will receive a prize of four hundred thousand rupees, said member secretary of Sudurpaschim Province Sports Council, Deepak Bahadur Singh.

Likewise, the second team in the competition will get Rs 200,000 and the third team will get Rs 100,000.

The coordination and management of the competition is to be done by the Kanchanpur District Volleyball Association.
