Pokhrel assigned with responsibility of UML Acting Chair

KATHMANDU: Senior Vice Chair of CPN (UML) Ishwor Pokhrel has been assigned to take charge as the party’s Acting Chair.

Party Chair and Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who left here today on a four-day official visit to China, handed Pokhrel the responsibility of the party Acting Chair.

According to party’s Publicity Department Chief, Rajendra Gautam, the responsibility of the Acting Chair was given to Pokhrel in accordance with Clause 21 (2) of the party’s Statute 2049 BS (2078 BS Amendment).

Party Chair and Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to return home on December 5.
