NC’s Dangol leading in Kirtipur mayoral race



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) party has taken an early lead in the mayoral race of Kirtipur Municipality in Kathmandu.

NC candidate Krishnaman Dangol has received 464 votes so far.

Independent candidate Rajman Maharjan follows in second place with 355 votes.

Maoist candidate Shiva Sharan Maharjan has secured 334 votes, while UML’s Surendra Manandhar has received 327 votes.

Vote counting is still underway.
