BHAKTAPUR: Nepali Congress President and former prime minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has said the present government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was working effectively. The government’s performance in the last 100 days was positive, he commented.

President Deuba made such remark during a programme organized by NC District Working Committee Bhaktapur to exchange festival greetings on Saturday.

He also released the ‘Jay Nepal Bhaktapur Souvenir’ at the function.

“The coalition government led by UML Chair KP Oli is working all right. PM Oli has done well. I believe he will continue doing well in future,” he reiterated.

Deuba further said he was suggesting PM Oli for any work to be carried out by the government. “It is normal in the world to have government’s criticism from the opposition parties. So, I’ve not taken it otherwise,” he shared.

The NC President shared that he was cooperating with the government fully to sort out any problem surfaced before it.

Deuba suggested that criticisms from opposition should be taken seriously to make government function more result-oriented. The NC Chief argued that NC rank and file was happy to have the coalition government.

So, NC’s attention would be to make it further successful as per agreement.

On the occasion, NC leader and Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Badri Pande, said NC was both in cooperation and competition with UML.

Also addressing the event were central member Bal Bahadur KC, federal lawmaker Durlav Thapa, and leader Indra Baniya, among others.
