Dipendra Singh Airee becomes the second best all-rounder in the world

KATHMANDU: Nepali cricketer Dipendra Singh Airee has made history by achieving the highest-ever ranking for a Nepali player in the ICC T20 all-rounder rankings.

Following his performance in the ongoing triangular series in Canada, Airee has climbed four places to secure the second position in the latest ICC rankings.

Airee now holds 230 points, trailing only England’s Liam Livingstone, who leads the rankings with 253 points.

This sees Airee surpassing notable players such as Australia’s Marcus Stoinis.

In addition to Airee’s success, Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza ranks fourth, Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga is in fifth place, Afghanistan’s Mohammad Nabi holds the sixth spot, and India’s Hardik Pandya ranks seventh.

Nepal’s Kusal Malla, however, has dropped six places, now standing at 40th in the rankings whereas all-rounder Gulshan Jha has climbed 11 places to reach 53rd, while team captain Rohit Paudel shares the same ranking.
