Tourist arrival in August soars by 8.3 percent



KATHMANDU: Tourist arrivals in August this year soared by 8.3 percent compared to the same month last year.

According to data from the Nepal Tourism Board, the country saw an increase of 5,566 tourists in August 2024, bringing the total to 72,719 visitors.

This marks a significant rise from the 67,153 tourists who visited Nepal in August 2023.

The increase in arrivals was largely driven by a surge in visitors from India, who numbered 25,832.
