One dies of dengue infection in Chitwan



CHITWAN: A person died due to dengue infection in the district.

The deceased has been identified as a 63-year-old man of Bharatpur metropolis-2.

According to Public Health Officer at the District Public Health Office, Bimal Patel, the man breathed his last on last Saturday while undergoing treatment at Chitwan Medical College.

He further informed the patient with fever was admitted to the medical college on Friday.

A total of 727 people have so far tested positive for dengue among the patients coming to various hospitals in the district for treatment.

During the test of 3,044 people, they were confirmed to be infected with the disease.

Of the infected, 532 are from Chitwan and remaining from other districts.
