Fire destroys property worth over Rs 20 million in Bhaktapur



BHAKTAPUR: A fire at a furniture industry in Madhyapurthimi Municipality-3, Kaushaltar, has resulted in the loss of property worth over Rs 20 million.

The furniture industry, operated in a house owned by Shankar Katuwal, suffered extensive damage.

According to Rajan Karki, Deputy Superintendent of Police in the Bhaktapur District Police Premises, the blaze destroyed furniture and aluminum worth Rs 26 million.

Five fire engines from across the Kathmandu Valley, along with locals and police personnel, worked together to extinguish the fire, which raged for three hours.
