UML Chairman Oli hold talks with PM Dahal

KATHMANDU: CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli is holding talks with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal at the latter’s official residence, Baluwatar.

Sources claimed that Oli visited Baluwatar to brief PM Dahal about the new power dynamics with the Nepali Congress reached on Monday night.

UML sources indicate that during the meeting, Oli urged Prime Minister Dahal to step down and facilitate the transition.

Yesterday, Oli held discussions with Prime Minister Dahal, where he extended his support for a government of national consensus.

As per the agreement between the Nepali Congress and UML, Oli is slated to lead the government for the initial eighteen months, after which Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will assume leadership for the remainder of the term.
