Probe panel to record statements from Home Minister Lamichhane and GB Rai: Gagan Thapa

KATHMANDU: Gagan Thapa, the General Secretary of Nepali Congress (NC), stated that the parliamentary investigation committee formed to probe the cooperative fraud case will record statements from all involved parties.

Addressing the parliament meeting on Sunday, Thapa confirmed that the probe panel will undoubtedly summon GB Rai, owner of Gorkha Media, and Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane to document their involvement.

Thapa further clarified that the transfer of money from Surya Darshan Cooperative and other cooperatives to Gorkha Media is illegal.

“The probe panel will investigate this case thoroughly and record statements from everyone involved in the fraud,” Thapa added.
