Rain and storms expected in four provinces



KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecast Division has reported a partial influence of local westerly winds in Nepal, along with a low-pressure area extending from West Uttar Pradesh to West Bangladesh in India.

Currently, the weather is mostly clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the remaining areas are also predominantly clear.

However, a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and the hilly areas of Sudurpaschim Province are experiencing light rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and windstorms.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy across the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as in a couple of places in the rest of the region.

Additionally, there is a possibility of storms in one or two places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.

Light snowfall may occur in one or two places in the high hilly and Himalayan areas of the country.

Tonight, the weather will remain clear in the hilly areas, including Koshi and Bagmati provinces, with partly to mostly cloudy weather in the rest of the country.

There is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few places in Koshi and Bagmati and the remaining areas.
