KATHMANDU: Sandeep Lamichhane, prominent in cricket circles, asserts he is the target of a calculated conspiracy and pledges to disclose the identities of those purportedly involved.

In the wake of the announcement of Nepal’s Cricket Team for the forthcoming T20 World Cup, Lamichhane took to his social media platform, vehemently maintaining his innocence and decrying the alleged machinations against him.

Earlier, the Kathmandu District Court found Lamichhane guilty in a case concerning rape, levying an eight-year sentence along with a fine of Rs 300,000 and compensation of two lakh rupees.

However, Lamichhane has since lodged an appeal against the court’s verdict at the High Court.

Lamichhane’s assertion of conspiracy adds a new dimension to the case, promising further twists as it progresses through the legal system.
