Govt focused on good governance, social justice, and prosperity: PM

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ emphasized that the current government has prioritized ensuring good governance, social justice, and prosperity in line with the desires of the populace.

Speaking at an interaction on “Socialism with Nepali Characteristics” organized by Samajbadi Morcha, he highlighted the potential for rapid advancement in socialism if Nepali socialists and nationalists unite.

“Nepal possesses such potential,” he stated, underscoring his efforts to bring together nationalist leftists despite inherent risks and challenges.

Emphasizing the importance of unity and collaboration among nationalist, progressive, and socialist forces, Dahal noted recent initiatives aimed at laying the groundwork for socialism while bolstering Nepal’s national sovereignty.

Dahal also cited ongoing efforts to combat corruption, misuse of public resources, and smuggling, noting that progress in good governance, social justice, and prosperity has been made despite numerous challenges.

Regarding political power, Dahal stressed the necessity for parties to engage effectively with the public, advocating for maximal utilization of government, legislative bodies, and grassroots activism to advance socialism.

He further highlighted the formation of a new power dynamic, citing the failure of the previous alliance to align with the people’s aspirations and establish a socialist foundation.
