UML secures CM post in Karnali Province following federal-level consensus



KATHMANDU: In a significant development, the CPN (UML) is set to secure the position of Chief Minister in Karnali Province, following a consensus reached at the federal level.

According to Kali Bahadur Malla, the in-charge of CPN (Maoist Centre) in Karnali Province, it has been agreed upon to allocate the Chief Minister’s post to the UML, as per a communiqué received recently.

Chief Minister Raj Kumar Sharma is scheduled to seek a vote of confidence from the Provincial Assembly on Tuesday.
