Binod Chaudhary expresses concerns over Arun Chaudhary’s detention

KATHMANDU: The arrest of industrialist Arun Kumar Chaudhary by the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) took center stage during the Nepali Congress parliamentary party meeting on Friday.

Lawmaker Binod Chaudhary, Arun’s brother, participated in the meeting and shed light on Arun’s arrest and the potential repercussions.

Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak shared post-meeting that Binod Chaudhary raised concerns about Arun’s arrest and discussed potential scenarios.

“Binodji wanted to share his perspective. The party has not officially taken a stance, and leaders and lawmakers attentively listened,” explained Lekhak.

According to sources within the Nepali Congress, Binod Chaudhary claimed that his brother Arun fell victim to a conspiracy.

MP Sunil Sharma revealed that Chaudhary informed the meeting about openly acquiring shares in a competition held in 1986.

Sharma accused the Maoist Center Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ and his government of engaging in terror tactics against industrialists and resorting to blackmail.
