Weather: Foggy conditions grip Terai region

KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has issued an advisory, highlighting the partial impact of western winds currently affecting Nepal.

According to the Department’s update, the weather remains clear in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with partial cloud cover.

However, in certain pockets of the Terai region, fog and low visibility have been reported.

This afternoon, the hilly parts of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki are expected to maintain clear weather, while other areas may experience varying degrees of cloudiness.

Additionally, the Department has raised the possibility of light snowfall in isolated locations across the high hills and Himalayan regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Considering the potential drop in temperature due to wind, fog, and snowfall, the Department has urged the public to take necessary precautions.

It has also urged people to take adequate measures to mitigate the impact of the prevailing weather conditions.
