By-election: Deputy PM Singh casts vote in Kathmandu-16



KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakash Man Singh cast his vote in the local by-election for the ward chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City Ward 16.

Singh reached the voting center at Yuva Secondary School, Paknajol, located in Ward 16, and exercised his right to vote.

A total of 18 candidates are competing in this by-election, including 10 independents, according to the Election Commission.

The by-election was triggered by the death of Ward Chairman Mukunda Rijal, who was elected as a member of the Nepali Congress in the 2079 BS election.
