Kathmandu District Court grants bail to Durga Prasai

KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered the release of Durga Prasai, the owner of B&C Medical College, on a bond of NRP 100,000.

The bench of Kathmandu District Court Judge Thakur Prasad Kharel issued the ruling on Tuesday.

Prasain was arrested on the charge of cyber crime after he made a public statement that character assassinated Jwala Sangraula, a leader of the Rashtriya Swatantra Party.

Following the court’s order, Prasai is expected to be released later today upon payment of the bail.
