JANAKPURDHAM: Madhes Province is set to significantly enhance service delivery through the extensive use of Information Technology (IT).
A recent discussion at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers focused on implementing effective practices related to e-governance in the province.
Dr. Sohan Sah, Vice-Chairperson of the Madhes Province Policy and Planning Commission, emphasized that e-governance will be implemented to make public services more efficient, user-friendly, and seamless.
He stated, “Initially, digitalization will be introduced at the government level, and all stakeholders, including service recipients, will be gradually integrated into this digital transition.”
The rollout of e-governance will commence with four local governments in Madhes Province and offices experiencing high volumes of service recipients, according to Sah.
He highlighted that incorporating data-based results and development partnership programs alongside government offices into e-governance efforts could lead to significant improvements in governance.
The Vice-Chairperson expressed confidence that IT will enable public offices in Madhes Province to deliver services transparently and effectively, fostering greater efficiency and accountability.
