KATHMANDU: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, has arrived at CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli’s residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur, following a summons from Oli.
Mahaseth, who heads the UML team in the government, went to Balkot after attending a Cabinet meeting at Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s official residence in Baluwatar on Monday evening.
It is reported that Oli has also called Law Minister Padam Giri to Balkot.
Earlier, there were reports about Oli summoning all UML ministers; however, Oli’s Secretariat dismissed these as rumors.
In the context of ongoing discussions between Nepali Congress and UML regarding the formation of a coalition government, Oli has called in ministers for talks.
Before Mahaseth’s arrival, UML Vice Chair Bishnu Paudel was already in dialogue with Oli. Sources from Balkot indicate that Oli is currently holding discussions with both Paudel and Mahaseth.
