KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently exerting its influence over the country, bringing significant weather changes.

As of Monday morning, various regions in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with a few spots in other provinces, are experiencing light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.

The Weather Forecast Division has predicted that this afternoon, the weather will range from normal to overcast across the nation.

There is a likelihood of heavy rainfall in parts of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, with a potential for very heavy rain in isolated locations within Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain changeable nationwide.

Light to moderate rain showers with thunder and lightning is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, as well as a few spots elsewhere.

Additionally, the Division has alerted that heavy rainfall may occur in isolated areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces tonight.
