Tanahun to be promoted as a sports hub, says Dr. Swornim Wagle



DAMAULI: Vice President of Rastriya Swotantra Party (RSP) and Member of Parliament from Tanahun-1, Dr. Swornim Wagle, has announced plans to develop Tanahun district into a sports hub.

Addressing the concluding ceremony of the inter-local level volleyball competition organized by the Tanahun District Volleyball Association, Dr. Wagle emphasized the district’s potential in sports due to its central location in the country. He called for a planned approach to its development.

Dr. Wagle highlighted Nepal’s significant progress in the sports sector and noted an increased budget allocation for the upcoming fiscal year.

He pledged to take initiatives to further sports development in the district.

Additionally, Dr. Wagle underscored the importance of advancing sports diplomacy in Nepal.

Meanwhile, the final match of the volleyball tournament between Ghiring Rural Municipality and Shuklagandaki Municipality was postponed due to a storm and rain, with both teams having won one match each.
