Gusty winds likely in Lumbini, Madhes and Koshi provinces

KATHMANDU: The weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces and generally fair in the remaining parts of the country.

According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, the weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly region and mainly fair in rest of the part of the country this afternoon.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

There are chances of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country, the Division said.

There are chances of thunderstorms in some places of Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini provinces and at a few places in the rest of the provinces.

Similarly, the weather will be partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali provinces tonight.

Light snowfall is likely to occur at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

There is a possibility of gusty winds at one or two places in Koshi, Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces.

In the next 24 hours, light rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur at one or two places of the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces.

There are chances of light snowfall at one or two places of the high hilly and mountainous regions of the country.

There is a possibility of thunderstorms in some places of Koshi, Madhes and Lumbini provinces and at some places in the remaining provinces.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has cautioned the general public to adopt alertness in view of partial impact of weather on agriculture, health, tourism, mountaineering, road and air transport including daily life in these areas.
