Unified Socialist decides to vote for Bagmati CM Jamkattel



HETAUDA: The Bagmati province parliamentary party of CPN-Unified Socialist has decided to express confidence in Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel.

Chief Minister Jamkattel has announced to seek vote of confidence in the province assembly on Monday afternoon.

Earlier, the Unified Socialist party had said that it would not give vote of confidence to Chief Minister Jamkattel as it is.

However, the party has changed its decision and opted to vote for Jamkattel.

Krishna Prasad Kharel, the parliamentary party leader of the Unified Socialist Party, stated that they will support the proposal.

“We have received instructions from party headquarters to express confidence in Chief Minister Jamkattel, will give vote of confidence,” he said.

According to Unified Socialist sources, the party decided to vote for Jamkattel after the coalition partners agreed to let Unified Socialist lead the next government in the province.
