NC to vote against Chief Minister Jamkattel today



HETAUDA: Nepali Congress (NC) Bagmati Province Committee has directed its parliamentary party to vote against Bagmati Province Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel.

Chief Minister Jamkattel is scheduled to take vote of confidence today in the Bagmati Province Assembly.

If any party in the government coalition withdraws its support, Chief Minister is obliged to face confidence motion within 30 days as per constitution.

Jamkattel must secure 56 votes to maintain majority in 110-member Province Assembly. In the Province Assembly, there are 37 members of Nepali Congress, 27 of UML, 21 of Maoist Centre, 13 of RPP, seven of CPN (Unified Socialist), three of Nepal Workers and Peasant Party and two of Hamro Nepali Party.
