JANAKPURDHAM: Chairman of Unified Socialist and former Prime Minister, Madhav Kumar Nepal, has raised objections to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s recent statements regarding the Royal massacre.

Speaking at a program in Janakpur on Thursday, Chairman Nepal expressed his discontent.

He emphasized that Prime Minister Dahal did not consider consulting the concerned parties, including himself, before discussing the serious matter of investigating the Royal murder case in 2001.

Chairman Nepal recalled the then Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala’s practice of seeking advice during similar incidents, stating, “Now the Prime Minister has talked about investigating again. It would have been good to have some advice on such matters.”

“We have not been consulted either. He should have asked me. At least Girijababu used to ask me. Prachandaji has the habit of speaking abruptly,” he added.

He urged for proper consultation, saying, “It makes sense that those who have finished their lineage do it, and those who are left do it. Since CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli later became the Home Minister and also the Prime Minister, he has received a lot of information that he should be asked.”

Turning his attention to CPN-UML, Chairman Nepal asserted that the ruling coalition would endure for five years, implying that some individuals may find it challenging to navigate without the support of the alliance.
