CG Holdings Chairman Arun Chaudhary arrested for alleged land grab at Bansbari Leather Shoe Industry



KATHMANDU: Arun Chaudhary, Chairman of CG Holdings, has been arrested on charges of unlawfully seizing 10 ropani of land within the premises of the Bansbari Leather Shoe Industry in Kathmandu.

The Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police executed the arrest at Chaudhary’s Lazimpat residence.

AIG Kiran Bajracharya, head of the CIB, disclosed that Ajit Narayan Thapa, the former Board Chairman of Bansbari Leather Footwear Industry, was also taken into custody from his residence in Battisputali, following Chaudhary’s arrest.

The investigation revolves around the alleged government land grabbing at Bansbari Leather Shoe Industry, with the CIB actively probing the case.

Simultaneously, a complaint has been lodged with the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) in connection to these accusations.
